Community Ed FAQs

Q:  Where is the Community Ed office located?

A:  152 E. 6th Street, Corona CA  92879.  Our building says "RCCD Economic Development" on the side facing 6th.  From the 91 Fwy, exit in Corona at Main St; turn left onto Main at the bottom of the offramp then follow about 2 blocks to 6th.  Turn right at Ramona, just past the building and find lots of FREE parking.  The entrance is on the West side of the building.

Q:  What are the Community Ed office hours?

A:  We are open Monday through Friday from 8am until 5pm.  We are open "online"  and "on fax" at 951.898-8631 - 24/7!

Q:   Why should I sign up for classes early?

A:  Early sign up assures your place in high demand classes, and may guarantee that a low demand class will go.

Q:  Do Community Ed students pay for parking?

A.   Daily parking permits can be purchased form any Parking Meter and used in any student parking space on all three campuses. $1 for 2hrs, $2 for 4hrs or $3 All Day.  Parking permits are required 24/7.

Q:  Where are Community Ed classes held?

A:  Classes are held at all three colleges of the Riverside Community College District:  Riverside City College, Moreno Valley College and Norco College.  They are also held at various suitable locations throughout our district.  Look for your class location information on your receipt.

Q:  Where can I view maps of the three college campuses?

A:  Go to www.rcc.edu and click on the Find Us link.

Q:  What is the Community Ed refund policy?

A:  If you request a refund prior to the first day of the class, a refund will be given minus a $10 per person, per class processing fee.

Q:  What happens to my money if a class is cancelled?

A:  If Community Ed cancels a class, we will make every effort to notify each student enrolled.  We will ask whether you prefer a refund or prefer to be transferred to a later class.  A full refund will be mailed to you or credited to your account within approximately four weeks of the cancelation, which ever you prefer.

Q:  What happens to my personal information?

A:  Community Ed is committed to protecting your privacy online.  We do not sell, trade or rent your personal information to others.  Community Ed may use the information you have given us to contact you regarding course information and new additions to our Web site.

Q:  Do we get college credit or grades for these classes?

A:  No, Community Education classes are not-for-credit, and no grades are given.  Attendance is recorded for CEU (Continuing Education Unit) classes.

Q:  Can I register the day of the class?

A:  You may register at the class if there is space available and if the class has not been moved or canceled.  We encourage you to register in advance so we can notify you of any room or date changes and to guarantee your seat in the class.  Instructors will accept registrations at the class paid by check or credit card.
